Set up

When it comes to the setup, most of the materials required had to be imported from abroad as good quality materials were not available in the country.
As importing to Nagaland from U.K, the team faced several issue with custom clearance and the overall restrictions imposed by the Indian Government. The team had to write several clearance certificates to clear the back locked item bound for Nagaland from the customs office somewhere in main land India.
Since the institute functions as a Non Governmental Organisation, importing items caused a lot of alarms. As such, items had to be cleared off by declaring that the items coming in were for personal use and not the property of the institute.
For future references, do not use the name of the institute while ordering or sending parcels to Nagaland. Instead, get in touch with one of the employees and use their personal home addresses. That evades a lot of the custom clearance issues and speed tacks the delivery.
The Institute, having very limited real-estate, had to utilise all the rooms available, which included the Library, the Conference Hall and the Research Room.
